In the south of France to document the original filming locations of Jean-Luc Godards PIERROT LE FOU starring Jean-Paul Belmondo & Anna Karina

Location: Presqu'île de Giens

It took me a while to understand how Godard switched back and forth between
the locations. Marianne is shot on Porquerolles, Ferdinand takes her in his arms and in the next shot he comes to this house on Presqu'île de Giens. Unfortunately it's a private property and you can't really get close to it. The location is fantastic and if you take a boat to Porquerolles you have a view of the house from the sea.
After Marianne has died and Ferdinand has painted his face blue (completed by the master himself), Godard goes back to Porquerolles for the final scene.
